Show Me the Money
A “performed documentary” exploring the economics of being an artist, investigating how fees/funding or lack thereof can validate or invalidate artistic practice, as well as the awkwardness and anxiety artists often have around non arts-related income and financial support and the many forms it can take: from unemployment to family support, to other “secret” jobs. The show will interweave Paula’s personal experiences with interviews with artists and producers at various stages of their careers, parents of artists and young people interested in the arts.
